LORENA (October 5, 2012)--A boil notice was issued for some city water customers after crews working on an I-35 construction project broke a water main.
Water has been shut off on the east side of Lorena, the South Meadows area and for all customers south of Lorena.
Specifically the boil water notice is in effect for South Meadows subdivision, Gibraltar, Evelyn, Rosenthal, Old Rosenthal, Sutton Place, South Old Temple, Creek Road, Telephone Road and all customers south of town.
City officials will notify residents when water is safe to consume without boiling.
