LORENA (October 2, 2012)--A 14-year-old Lorena boy will receive a special homecoming celebration Wednesday after a car wreck left him hospitalized for 6 months.

Tanner Underwood, son of James and Carol Underwood, suffered a traumatic brain injury after a car accident in March.

Tanner is the son of a Baylor University law professor.

The Quarry neighborhood plans to welcome Tanner home with community support and the Lorena drumline.

Residents in the area are expected to line the streets around 3:45 p.m.

A trust fund has been set up in the family’s name to help cover continued expenses.
