MARLIN (December 12, 2012)--Marlin police have obtained an arrest warrant for a teenager held in the Ector County Jail in connection with a bomb threat earlier this week at Marlin Elementary School.

The warrant names Willie Earl Solomon, II, 18 who is listed as an inmate on the jail log in Ector County.

Records indicate Solomon attended Marlin schools when he was younger.

The jail log shows Solomon is being held on bonds totaling $114,500, charged with terroristic threat (false alarm of a public service), which stems from the incident in Marlin, terroristic threat, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failing to identify himself as a fugitive.

He also is held without bond on a Texas Juvenile Justice Department hold.

Marlin police Detective Rob Douglas said the warrant was served in Odessa just after noon Wednesday.

Douglas said Solomon denied any involvement in the threat, but Ector County telephone and video records support the warrant, he said.

Douglas was able to trace an inmate PIN number that was used to make the phone call to Solomon's inmate number and there is video evidence of Solomon using the telephone at the time the phone call was placed.

After the threat was called at around 2:15 p.m. Monday students were moved from the elementary school to Marlin High School about two blocks away.

Older students walked to the high school and younger students were loaded aboard buses for the short trip.
