MCGREGOR (January 9, 2013)—A 34-year-old Mexican man was being held Wednesday in the McLennan County Jail charged with multiple counts of sexual assault.

Jaime Sanchez Ontiveros was ordered held Tuesday on bonds totaling $30,000 charged with sexual assault and attempted sexual assault, as well as being held on an immigration detainer, jail records showed.

A McGregor police investigator said Ontiveros was arrested after a 30-year-old woman reported she had been attacked twice in December.

The investigator also said other witnesses confirmed the attacks.

Federal records show Ontiveros has previously been deported and now could face a federal illegal re-entry charge in U.S. District Court.
