MCLENNAN COUNTY (August 1, 2012)--McLennan County deputies were investigating Wednesday after a man was attacked in a rural area near the McGregor Airport.
The victim, was taken by ambulance from the scene at Val Verde and Fossil Rim roads, to a Waco hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the assault.
Deputies said the victim was working at a grain elevator when four men who said they were looking for jobs approached him.
When the victim told the men he had no work for them, he was attacked and beaten.
Deputies were looking for four men who left the scene in a pickup truck.
