SALADO (September 6, 2012)--The fourth annual Chocolate and Wine Weekend begins Friday.
The three-day chocolate weekend promises to satisfy even the sweetest sweet tooth with music, demonstrations, a gourmet chocolate brunch, chocolate trail throughout the town and wine tastings.
Beginning Friday from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at the Salado Wine Seller, chocolate and wine will be served for $44.95 per person.
Chocolate will be served for breakfast Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Longhorn Room at the Stagecoach Inn, thanks to Cocoamoda Chocolates Chef Ken Wilkinson.
The cost for that event is $24.95 per person.
Wilkinson will also present “Truffles and Bubbles” from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Other sweet events include: “A Hands On Chocolate Experience” where you can create a variety of mouth-watering treats, chocolate and wine classes taught by Kevin of Wiseman House Chocolates, “Chocolate Trail” throughout the village with transportation to be provided, “Death By Chocolate Contest” at the public library and “Chocolate & Music.”
Sunday’s fun kicks off with one seating at 11 a.m. at Adelea’s Bistro and Alexander’s Distillery.
The “Chocolate and Champagne Bruch” will give guests an opportunity to try out gourmet recipes and the finest chocolate.
