TEMPLE (April 1, 2013)--Temple Firefighters will collect "Fill the Boot" donations from motorists for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Thursday-Saturday.

Donations to the "Fill the Boot" program help fund services such as flu shots, a week-long summer camp for youth, and help purchase medical equipment.

Donations may also be dropped off at the Fire Station Training Center at 7268 Airport Road Thursday-Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

MDA is a nonprofit health agency whose mission is to cure muscular dystrophy, ALS, and other related diseases. The association currently funds about 330 research projects worldwide.

Temple Firefighters will remain in service to respond to calls during these days.
