TEMPLE (May 6, 2013)--The City of Temple continues to operate its brush and bulk program in an attempt to meet homeowner's request to provide cleaner and safer neighborhoods.
The program focuses on providing homeowners with definite days of collection in order to limit the amount of time brush and bulky items sit out at the curb.
Eight collection areas are serviced two times a month throughout Temple.
The City would like to remind residents of the guidelines and fees associated with out of cycle placement and piles over the limit.
Anything placed within 8 feet of the curb is a "request for service" and will be collected by City brush and bulk crews.
Items should be placed at the curb on the day before or by 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day.
Aslo, brush and tree trimmings should be separate from bulky items and a fee of $65 per 6 cyds will be charged for amounts over 6 cyds.
