(November 8, 2012)--Six Chick-fil-A restaurants in Central Texas are teaming up for the 5th annual Operation Christmas Child “Fill a Box with Love” event.

Restaurants in Waco, Temple, Killeen and Harker Heights will serve as drop-off and pick-up spots for shoeboxes.

Customers can pick up empty shoeboxes on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and fill the shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene products and a personal note.

Filled boxes will be accepted from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 17.

Samaritan’s Purse will distribute the boxes to disadvantaged children across the world.

Customers who provide a helping hand will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich per each packaged shoebox returned.

Chick-fil-A restaurants located inside malls are also participating in the initiative.
