TEMPLE (January 2, 2013)—Temple police continued to search Wednesday for an armed man who robbed a local convenience store on New Year’s Eve.

The robbery occurred just before 10 p.m. Monday at the Central Food Mart at 2004 North 3rd St.

The clerk told officers a man entered the store, produced a handgun, demanded money and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man for whom police are looking is black, about 6-feet tall, thin and young.

He was wearing a light colored sweatshirt with a dark hood, dark colored pants, gloves and a cloth that covered his face.
