TEMPLE (February 28, 2013)--Schools throughout Temple ISD will celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday through readings and programs Friday and Saturday.
The famous children's author was born as Theodo Seuss Geisel on March 2, 1904.
Geisel published more than 46 children's books under the name Dr. Seuss.
On Friday, elementary schools will host read-ins throughout the day, enjoying classics such as “Green Eggs and Ham,” “The Cat in the Hat” and “Horton Hears a Who.”
Thornton Elementary will host a Dr. Seuss story hour on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. which will be open to the public.
