Temple: United Way Announces New Board President

The United Way of Central Texas has announced its new board president.

TEMPLE (February 1, 2013)—Retired Wilsonart, North America President Bill DiGaetano is the 2013-2015 president of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Central Texas.

"We are absolutely thrilled that Mr. DiGaetano has committed his time and talents to United Way,” said Ann Thompson, CEO of United Way of Central Texas.

"One of the true delights of working for United Way is the caliber of leadership we have had through the years. I have been privileged to work with a group of visionary committed volunteers that have not only impacted, but inspired this community. Bill exemplifies this type of leadership,” she said.

DiGaetano also serves on the Board of Scott & White Memorial/McLane Children’s Hospitals and the steering committee of the Ralph Wilson Youth Club's new building campaign.

"Giving back so others may flourish is important work and I admire the influence that United Way has in the community," DiGaetano said.

"Moving forward, I want to build on the great work and the significant success we've enjoyed all these years,” he said.

Other members elected to the Executive Board of Directors are Mary Black Pearson, past chair; David Leigh, Sr., treasurer; Phil Leibowitz, secretary; Kenneth Valka, strategic planning chair; Martha Tyroch, nominations chair; and Bill Stanford, HR chair.

Other members are Jim Calhoun, Charlie Kimmey, Terri Marlatt, Derek Martin, Drayton McLane III, Stephanie O'Banion, Deb Steffes, Jay Taggart, and Bourdon Wooten.
