TEMPLE (October 22, 2012)—The Parks and Leisure Department is hosting several Halloween events for families on Friday and Saturday.
The popular Haunted Hayride will take families on a hayride trail inhabited by creepy characters and spooky scenes.
The hayride will be on Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Wilson Park, located at 1909 Curtis B. Elliott Drive.
Tickets cost $3 per rider, children 2 and under are free, and can be purchased in advance at Wilson Park Recreation Center.
The Halloween Splash Bash will be held on Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Sammons Indoor Pool, located at 2220 West Avenue D.
The Splash Bash costs $15 per family and will feature spooky music, candy, and games.
The 3rd Annual Monster Mash will be held on Friday between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Summit Family Fitness Center, located at 620 Fryers Creek Road.
The Monster Mash is for children between 6 and 10 and will have carnival games, face and pumpkin painting, a pizza party, and lots of costumes.
The cost is $14 per child.
