TEMPLE (October 11, 2012)—The Tri-Cities Gem and Mineral Society will host the 43rd Annual Gem and Mineral Show at the Mayborn Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday.

This is an opportunity for the public to view a variety of rocks, minerals, fine jewelry, wire-wrapping and more.

Members of the society will be available to answer questions about their experiences in rock hunting, making cutting and polishing stones, and preparing collections of their favorite stones and minerals.

There will be hourly door prizes and a raffle for those interested.

Visitors may purchase a variety of gemstones, findings, rock working tools, fossils, and geodes.

The show runs from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
