TEMPLE (July 16, 2012)--The 6th annual Hot 2 Trot is this Saturday, and early registration closes Wednesday.
The 5k race is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. and will take runners around the McLane Company Headquarters on McLane Parkway.
The race is part of the CenTex Race Series and points will be awarded per series age groups.
Pro-Fit Event Services are providing chip timing.
The cost to participate is $15 until Wednesday night and then $20 from Thursday until race day.
Registration the day of the race will be from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers per age group.
The first 250 registered participants will receive T-shirts.
Runners of all ages can register at the Wilson Park Recreation Center or online.
