TEMPLE (June 14, 2012)--The United Way of Central Texas was awarded the Tinstman Fellowship Grant, the organization said on Wednesday.
The Tinstman Fellowship was established by United Way of Texas on behalf of R.M. (Bob) Tinstman, who spent a lifetime serving his community and country, spokesperson Ann Thompson said.
The grant will allow the organization to recruit an intern, lowering administration fees that are used to serve local communities.
Brandy Ulmer, a double major in marketing and accounting at Texas A&M Central Texas, was selected as intern.
Only a few locations in Texas were awarded the grant.
