BELLMEAD (January 10, 2013)—Four Bellmead teenagers were being held Wednesday in the McLennan County Jail charged with robbery and engaging in organized crime after another student reported he had been robbed.
Trevon Jamar O’Leary, 18, was the only one who remained in jail Thursday morning ordered held on bonds totaling $50,000, charged with robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Alton Trayvon Hawkins, 17, also was charged with robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity but on Wednesday posted a $20,000 bond and was released.
Roderick Lamond Stubblefield and Marcus Labaron Evans, both 18, also were held on the same charges but both posted a $10,000 bond each and were released Wednesday, jail records show.
Bellmead police Detective Mike Miller said the four were arrested in connection with a robbery that was reported last Thursday night during which a LaVega High School student said he was robbed by a group of four other students with whom he’d been hanging out earlier that day.
The victim reported one of his attackers held him in a choke hold while the others went through his pockets and stole his watch and cellular telephone.
