Update: Carter BloodCare wrapped up around 5 p.m. According to a University Spokesperson, many students were still in line at this time and plans to bring Carter BloodCare back on campus will be discussed.
WACO (April 19, 2013)--Baylor University and Carter BloodCare partnered up to host a blood drive on Baylor campus for the victims of the West explosion Friday.
The blood drive began at 10:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the day.
“It was supposed to go until 5 p.m., but due to a big response, we had planned to go on as long as we could,” University Spokesperson Lori Fogelman said.
Carter BloodCare donation buses will remain located on Fifth Street throughout Friday.
"They were gracious enough to bring up two buses to our campus today. Our students were so ready to roll up their sleeves to help the city of West," Fogelman.
