Man, 68, Charged In Robbery Of Local Bank

A 68-year-old Central Texas man was in custody Tuesday, charged in the robbery of a suburban bank.

WACO (February 3, 2014) Milton Lewis Anglin, 68, of China Spring, was in the McLennan County Jail Tuesday after he was arrested at his home on a warrant stemming from the robbery of a China Spring bank.

Anglin was arrested Monday evening at his home at 5513 Links Dr.

The robbery occurred at around 6 p.m. Friday at the First National Bank of Central Texas at the intersection of Wortham Bend Road and China Spring Road.

No one was hurt.

The robber, who was wearing a ski mask and glasses and was carrying, but did not display, a black handgun, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white four-door sedan.

He was last seen headed toward the residential area behind the bank, Swanton said.
