ROBINSON (October 15, 2012)—The Second Annual Robinson Festival will be held on Saturday at Robinson Park, located at 200 Peplow Drive.
The 5K Robinson Fun Run, sponsored by the Robinson Community Service Organization, will kick off the festival in the morning.
The festival will also feature live music from the Gordon Collier Band, vendors, food, a costume contest, horseshoe tournament, bake-off, and Time Warner Cable movie in the park.
The 5K Robinson Fun Run registration will be from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. at 51 N. Old Robinson Road.
Registration forms will also be available at City Hall, Hometown Spirit, or the city website prior to the race.
The entry fee is $20 if registration is completed by October 19 and $25 the day of the race.
All proceeds will benefit The Robinson Education Foundation.
The race is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the same location as the registration.
The horseshoe tournament registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Robinson Park.
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with championships beginning at 1 p.m.
The entry fee is $20 per person.
Carter BloodCare will be on-site for a blood drive from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The Gordon Collier Band will perform live music beginning at 3 p.m.
The festival will conclude with a Blue Moon Cinema movie in the park sponsored by Time Warner Cable at 7 p.m.
“The Pirates! Band of Misfits” will be the featured move at the festival and will be the first official event at the park’s new amphitheater.
