Waco: Downtown Accident Sends 2 To Local Hospital

A two-vehicle crash Thursday in downtown Waco sent two men to a local hospital.

WACO (March 6, 2014) Two men were taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center Thursday morning after they were injured in a two-vehicle crash in downtown Waco.

Waco police, fire units and an ambulance were sent just after 9:15 a.m. to North 4th Street and Washington Avenue after a caller reported that two pickup trucks had collided in the intersection.

Two men riding in one of the trucks were injured.

Information about their injuries and conditions wasn’t immediately available.

The driver of the second truck wasn’t hurt, police said.

One of the drivers was cited for excessive speed, a police officer said.
