WACO (February 28, 2013)-Waco police arrested a man Wednesday after witnesses reported they saw him smash several car windshields with a large concrete block.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers were sent Wednesday afternoon to the downtown bus station on South 8th Street where several callers reported a man was walking through the parking lot smashing car windshields with a concrete block.

The officers reported the man stopped throwing the block through windshields when it broke.

In all there were five car windshields smashed, Swanton said.

Eric Matthew Rechenthin, 36, was held Thursday in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond, charged with five counts of criminal mischief.
