WACO (December 10, 2012)--A Waco man who already is serving a prison term for sexually abusing a family member and who was convicted of similar charges in court in September was sentenced to even more prison time Monday after pleading guilty to yet more charges.
State District Judge Ralph Strother sentenced Victor Espinoza to four 15-year terms on individual counts of sexual assault of a child and ordered the terms served concurrently.
Espinoza, 54, was sentenced Sept. 21 to one life term after a jury found him guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a 20-year term for indecency with a child by contact.
Judge Ralph Strother also ordered Espinoza to pay a $10,000 fine on each count and ordered the sentences served consecutively.
Then Strother ordered those sentences stacked on a 15-year term Espinoza currently is serving for a conviction in Denton County on another sexual abuse charge.
Each of the counts to which Espinoza pleaded and those of which he was found guilty stemmed from separate incidents, a district attorney's spokesman said.
Espinoza has been serving his first sentence at the Walls Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, in Huntsville.
