WACO (July 30, 2014) Waco police early Wednesday morning arrested one man following a report of a burglary at a South Waco convenience store.

Dominique Jerrell Alley, 20, was ordered held on a $10,000 bond charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, McLennan County Jail records showed.

Officers were sent at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday to the store in the 1400 block of South Jack Kultgen Expressway after a caller reported seeing men breaking into the store, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

As they arrived the officers saw suspects running from the store and chased one of them on foot for a short distance before taking him into custody.

The officers recovered some merchandise they believe was taken from the store, Swanton said.

The burglary remained under investigation Wednesday morning and were trying to identify as many as two other suspects in the incident, Swanton said.
