WACO (August 12, 2014) Waco police are set to begin enforcing the city’s new residential parking ordinance after a grace period that ends Sept. 1.
Between now and then, officers will distribute informational flyers, police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Tuesday.
The ordinance prohibits residents from parking commercial vehicles, oversize vehicles, house trailers, RVs, boats and boat trailers on roadways in residential areas of the city.
The proposed ordinance would allow for some exceptions for vehicles loading or unloading, contractor vehicles parked in front of work sites, and preparation of recreational vehicles for storage.
