WACO (November 20, 2012)—A three-vehicle accident Tuesday at the intersection of Fish Pond Road and Rambler Drive sent an elderly man to a local hospital.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free the man from the wreckage of the car in which he was riding.
A Lincoln Navigator in which a family with three children was riding on Fish Pond struck the car after the elderly woman who was driving ran the stop sign on Rambler, police said.
The car then collided with a Mazda 3 that was stopped on Rambler on the opposite side of the intersection.
The elderly man, whose name was not released, suffered non-life-threatening head injuries, police said.
Damage to the Mazda was slight, police said.
