WACO (December 17, 2012)--Two men were arrested Sunday and a third man was sought in connection with a Sunday afternoon robbery outside a Waco apartment complex.
Orlando Ramirez, 25, posted bonds totaling $21,000 by Monday morning and was released after he initially was charged with robbery and possession of marijuana.
Joshua Jack Thompson, 23, was ordered held on bonds totaling $22,000, charged with robbery, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
A third suspect was being sought on Monday, Waco, police St. W. Patrick Swanton said.
Swanton said at about 4:50 p.m. Sunday a man who lives in the Gemini Village Apartments, in the 900 block of Wooded Acres Drive, called police to reported he had been jumped by three men and robbed.
Swanton said the victim told officers he knew two of his assailants.
Police officers who responded were nearby and when they arrived two of the suspects still were in the area and were arrested.
The third attacker escaped and officers were trying to identify him on Monday morning.
The 22-year-old victim suffered minor injuries in the attack, during which the suspects tried to take his wallet, but he did not require medical attention,
