Waco: World War II Aircraft Arrive For 3-Day Show

Some vintage World War II planes will land in Waco Friday for a three-day show.

WACO (July 31, 2014) Four vintage World War II planes will land in Waco Friday for a three-day show.

A B-17 Flying Fortress dubbed “Texas Raiders,” a C-47 Skytrain, a SNJ Texan and a PT-19 Cornell will land Friday morning at Waco Regional Airport.

Beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, the aircraft will be available for ground tours as well as for flights.

For a tax-deductible donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children, the aircraft may be toured on the ground.

The cost of 30- to 35-minute flight ranges from $475 to $750 depending on seating.

The planes belong to the Gulf Coast Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
