WACO (January 30, 2013)--Baylor University religion professor Byron Johnson was selected as “Big Brother of the Year” by Big Brother Big Sisters.
The organization, which pairs mentors and children in the community, selected Johnson out of their Lone Star area which covers all of North Texas, North Central Texas and the greater Houston area.
Johnson was selected for the positive impact he has on his “little” and for his recruiting efforts on the Baylor campus.
Texas winners will be eligible for national awards given by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
