WACO (December 22, 2012)—One little girl used her holiday wish to remember her grandmother.

9-year-old Lily-Anna Olalde entered Bell’s Hill Elementary School’s Make-A-Wish essay contest.

She asked for roses to give to her late grandmother for Christmas.

Sponsors spent $100 on each of the 70 wishes they granted, including Lily-Anna’s.

During a ceremony at her school on Friday, the University High School’s JROTC and Soccer Team delivered the gifts.

On Saturday Lily-Anna took the roses and planted them near her grandmother’s grave.
