WACO (February 28, 2013)--Keep Waco Beautiful will celebrate Arbor Day Friday with a ceremony and flag presentation.
Mayor Malcolm Duncan will present the Arbor Day proclamation and the 23rd annual Tree City USA flag will be presented to the mayor by the Texas Forestry Service.
A live oak tree has been donated by the Elizabeth Gordon Bradley Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and will be planted at South Waco Elementary.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the school, located at 2104 Gurley Lane.
Refreshments will be served.
