WACO (November 8, 2012)--A Waco teenager was in the McLennan County Jail after his arrest Thursday, charged with sexual assault of a child and resisting arrest.

Bonds total $23,000 for Alex Marquis Alexander, 18.

Bellmead police Detective Sgt. Michael Miller said Alexander was arrested on a warrant at a residence in Waco.

The charge stems from an investigation that started in May when Alexander was arrested and charged with harboring a runaway.

Miller said Alexander first was arrested in May for harboring a runaway teenage girl from Bellmead, but bonded out on that charge.

Subsequent investigation led to the sexual assault of a child charge.
