WEST (March 29, 2013)--I-35 main lanes will be closed to traffic to allow for the demolition of the existing Marable Street Bridge on Monday and Tuesday.
I-35 closures will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and end at 7 a.m. of the following morning.
Marable Bridge closures will take place continuously from Monday until Friday, April 12th.
During the closure, southbound traffic on I-35 will be directed to the frontage road at Exit 354 and re-enter the freeway on south of Tokio Road/Fm 1858.
Traffic heading northbound on I-35 will be directed to the frontage road at Exit 354 and re-enter the freeway north of Marable Street.
Once bridge demolition is complete, contractors will complete the approaches to the new bridge structure.
Traffic on the street will be detoured to the north on the frontage road to County Line Road or south on the frontage road to Oak Street/FM 2114.
Marable Street crossing will remain closed until bridge approaches are complete.
Construction is scheduled to be completed on or before April 12, 2013.
