WACO (June 21, 2013)-- A Waco man was convicted Friday of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The McLennan County jury sentenced Joshoa Immanuel Perez, 33, Friday to 99 years in state prison on each of the four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and 15 years in prison on each of two counts of indecency with a child by contact.
Court documents show Perez was arrested in October 2011 on warrants obtained by Waco police after a 17-year-old girl told Child Protective Services workers she had been sexually assaulted at a Waco residence.
Further investigation showed the victim had been sexually assaulted by the same man over a period of years.
Perez was arrested at a house on Speight Street, in South Waco, and has been in custody since then.
