Waco: Police Arrest 4, Seize Cocaine Worth $50,000

WACO (December 5, 2013) The identities of four men arrested Wednesday in a cocaine bust have been released by Waco police.

Manuel Vargas, 29, Juan Pablo Martinez-Bustamante, 30, Arturo Zavaleta-Benitez, 26, and Othon Rodriguez-Arroyo, 32, were ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bond each, online jail records show.

Each man was charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine and each was held without bond on an immigration detainer, online jail records showed.

Waco police and McLennan County sheriff's deputies made a vehicle stop Wednesday at a Waco motel, seized cocaine valued at $50,000, and arrested four men.

Officers recovered about a pound of cocaine after the stop Wednesday at the Motel Six on Interstate 35, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

"The operation was completed without injury to suspects or officers," Swanton said in a brief press release.
