BELTON (February 12, 2013)--Family Fishing Day will get underway Friday in Nolan Creek to include a contest for longest fish.
The waters will be full of rainbow trout in preparation of the event set to begin at noon.
During that time the state fishing license requirement will be temporarily suspended along the portion of Nolan Creek behind city hall, from Penelope Street Bridge to the low-water crossing near Confederate Park.
Two cash prizes will be awarded for the longest fish caught.
There is a catch-limit of five fish.
The fun will last until 2 p.m.
