Groesbeck (April 4, 2013)--The City of Groesbeck will have an all day citywide clean-up Friday and Saturday.
Large dumpsters will be put out at 102 E. Jacinto Street where people can come by and drop off unwanted materials.
"The idea is residents can put things they aren't normally allowed to put in," City Administrator Jim Cox said.
Items allowed during the clean-up are larger items such as couches, mattresses, and other old furniture.
Oil, batteries, tires, paint, and other liquids will not be allowed to be dropped off during this time as they are considered hazardous materials, Cox said.
The next citywide clean-up will take place in the fall.
" It assists residents to help keep our city clean," Cox said. "Folks pick up things throughout time that they eventually want to discard."
