KILLEEN (April 10, 2013)--The Army Tuition Assistance (TA) program was reactivated Tuesday allowing CTC military students to once again use the GoArmyEd online portal to enroll in classes.
The reinstatement of the program allows eligible soldiers to use funds for their college education.
Due to the TA reinstatement, CTC's tuition grant for Army students will now be deactivated.
"In the absence of tuition assistance funds, CTC maintained its commitment to its military students by offering a grant to cover the cost of the suspended TA payment," CTC Chancellor Dr. Thomas Klincar said.
There will not be any retroactive TA or late fees for enrolling into classes that began before March 9 when the program was suspended.
"It is very important for anyone eligible for tuition assistance to take advantage of the program now and prepare for possible chances by learning about other means of covering tuition such as scholarships, grants, the G.I. Bill or other financial aid options," Klincar said.
