TEMPLE (April 11, 2013)--The Holy Trinity Celtics recently took home the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 2 A State Academic Title, making it a record 335-award season for the Catholic high school.
“This year’s team has been amazing,” Forensics and Academic Coach Chris Mosmeyer said.
It is the 7th time the school has won the state championship in academics.
“They have been one of the top two teams at tournaments all year-both public and private schools,” Mosmeyer said.
The school earned 120 points, 39 points ahead of second place Austin Veritas. Amarillo Holy Cross placed third.
“To win state again is awesome,” Mosmeyer said. “The awards are great, but even more, the students have represented our school with honor and grace all year.”
