(December 21, 2012)--TxDOT is advising drivers to exercise caution over the holidays even though all I-35 mainlanes will be open.
All construction-related mainlane closures ended by 7 a.m. on Friday and will remain open through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Though the lanes will be open, there are areas with no shoulders and several locations where three lanes narrow to two, on both the northbound and southbound sides of the highway.
TxDOT says drivers should always allow extra time for their travels.
