BELL COUNTY (November 26, 2012)—A mobile home was damaged Monday evening just outside of Belton after the wind fanned the flames of a nearby controlled burn and the fire spread to an addition on the home.
The fire was reported at around 5:15 p.m. Monday at 4228 Mulberry Drive just west of Belton.
Four people were in the home at the time and all made it out safely.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
Most of the fire damage was limited to the addition, but the rest of the home received minor smoke damage, firefighters said.
