BELL COUNTY (January 8, 2012)- The Texas Department of Public Safety conducted some of their first 2013 non-compliance checks for sexual offenders Tuesday.
The checks are done to make sure convicted sex offenders are complying with state requirements. Such requirements include checking with probation officers and being registered.
According to Trooper Harpin Myers, 13 offenders in Bell County were checked Tuesday.
Onle 3 were found "non-compliant." Arrest warrants were then issued for those people.
