BELLMEAD (May 8, 2014) A Bellmead man was held Thursday in the McLennan County Jail after another man reported he was shot in the leg with a high-powered pellet gun.

McLennan County online jail records showed Dustin Wayne Cleveland, 29, was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond charged with aggravated assault.

Cleveland was arrested Wednesday, Bellmead police Detective Michael Miller said.

Miller said the arrest report indicates that two men got into an argument on Wednesday afternoon in the 3600 block of Harrison Street when one of them pulled a pellet gun and shot the other in the leg.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a Waco hospital for treatment, Miller said.

A suspect was arrested at the scene, Miller said.
