BELLMEAD (December 11, 2012)--One person was injured Tuesday morning when two cars collided on U.S. Highway 84 just east of Bellmead.
The accident happened just before 11 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Shelby Drive and U.S. 84.
Bellmead police Detective Mike Miller said one driver was turning onto the highway from Selby and failed to see an oncoming eastbound vehicle.
The two collided in the intersection.
The driver who pulled from Selby onto Highway 84 was taken to a local hospital.
The other driver wasn’t injured.
Traffic on U.S. 84 was slowed while rescuers attended to the victim, but the roadway was quickly cleared.
