BELTON (August 13, 2012)—A fire Sunday morning in Belton caused heavy damage to a home.
The fire was reported at around 9:45 a.m. Sunday at 2130 South Wall St.
Smoke was pouring from the house when the first crews arrived.
Neighbors weren’t sure if the owner was home, so firefighters mounted an immediate search of the house and determined no one was inside.
The fire started in the kitchen, but the cause is under investigation.
Crews remained on the scene until almost 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
