BELTON (February 14, 2013)--Belton ISD administration will make a recommendation regarding elementary attendance boundaries during its regular meeting on Monday.
Several meetings have been held to discuss a change in attendance boundaries that will affect several area elementary schools later this year.
New attendance boundaries will be implemented for Lakewood, Pirtle, Tarver and the new High Point elementary schools.
In 2014, new attendance zones will be implemented for Sparta, Leon Heights, Miller Heights and Southwest elementaries.
According to BISD Superintendent Dr. Susan Kincannon, new attendance boundaries are necessary due to continued growth in the district.
After gathering input from parents and community members the district will unveil its recommendations to the BISD Board of Trustees at Monday’s meeting.
A map of the proposed boundaries has been made available on the district’s website.
