BELTON (March 1, 2013)--Michael Huber was selected this week as the new public works director for the City of Belton.
Huber replaces Les Hallbauer who retired at the end of January.
According to a city spokesperson, Huber has more than 12 years of management under his belt, most recently serving as the public works director and city engineer in Aztec, New Mexico.
There he managed a $9.3 million capital budget that included more than 20 infrastructure projects.
Huber was selected out of 32 applicants and is set to begin April 1.
“I am so excited that our family is able to call the City of Belton our new home. I feel that public service is a noble profession, and I am honored to be the next public works director,” Huber said.
