BELTON (October 10, 2012)-The Belton Fire Department will partner with Domino's Pizza to check home smoke detectors as part of this year's Fire Prevention Week activities.
On Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., they will be working together to check smoke detectors in Belton residences.
Various pizza delivery home addresses will be selected for inspection, but first they will ask the occupant if they would like their smoke detector inspected.
The entire order will be free to the homeowner if their smoke detector is working properly and if it isn't, the fire department will work to assist them in get one that functions properly.
They hope to promote fire safety awareness and remind citizens of the importance of working smoke detectors in homes.
