BELTON (February 20, 2013)--The Belton Fire Department is asking the public to help them locate Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices around the city to inventory AED locations.
The department plans to share the information with the Bell County 9-1-1 Communications Center in an effort to improve response times in emergency situations.
The devices are designed to be simple enough for residents to use and can help save a person’s life in the event of cardiac arrest.
Private businesses that have an AED are asked to contact the fire department by calling (254) 933-5884.
