BELTON (September 21, 2012)--More than 2,000 students will receive iPads from the BISD school system as part of the iBHS1:1 iPad Project.
Seniors will receive the electronics Friday followed by more iPads to be distributed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Students will be issued the iPads for use at school and home in which the district hopes will increase student productivity and help students and teachers stay current with technology.
Five parent information sessions were held this year regarding student use of the iPad, with more to be scheduled.
Funding was provided by the state through the Instructional Materials Allotment.
Additional informational meetings for the project will be held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on October 29, November 5 and 27, January 14, February 26 and March 7.
